Hey, OFL, I just remembered that I have a snail infestation in my tank right now. Will adding epsom salts kill them all and foul the water? I don't want to make it nasty.

You want to QT to treat-easier to make the needed water changes and provide correct dosage without messing up the display tank.....

.... Oh. I wonder where that hospital tank is.... I just bought a spare heater, so I can do that, now.

I've had him in epsom salt for going on two days now, fed him daphnia yesterday, and nothing seems to be changed... he's more perky, but no poop.

Alright, still no poop. Should I try the pea? Or give him daphnia again?

Is he in a bare bottom container, is he still bloated, how much Epsom salt are you using-you can go up to 3tsp/gal if needed but do it slow 1tsp/gal every 12-24h as tolerated, if he will eat the pea or frozen or live not freeze dried daphnia that will not hurt are you feeding anything else and if so how is his appetite?

Well, I'll be moving him into the hospital tank tonight. He is still as bloated as he was to begin with, tolerated the 1tsp/gallon just fine, actually seems more comfortable. When I gave him the daphnia he gobbled it up eagerly (although he spit it out a couple times - he's finicky). I could try the pea next although I have plenty of daphnia. Not feeding anything else. He begs whenever I come in, or at least checks me out.

Thanks! He needs it..

I moved him into the quarantine tank, finally. I'll be giving him more daphnia tonight.
