Slime on top of water & on decorations when using PRIME?

This is embarassing...I hope I have not been doing something wrong all this time...

Ok so ever since I've been using PRIME (using a syringe to measure it out), in the filtered/cycled & unfiltered tanks, even after only a day....they all get a thin slick slime goo on top....when I take decorations/heaters out they also have it on them...It's gross but the fish seem Ok regardless of it.
I use tap water, not distilled. What's going on?

It sounds like algae. Do you have a light on?

I'll try to get a pic, the slime is clear though...it feels like lubricant (lol sorry don't mean to be gross).
I do have lights on all the tanks. On about 8-10 hours a day...Too much? I've been trying to
turn them all off sooner. No brown or green algae issues though.

umm, okay then, so it is more like a film on top?

Have you added any new decor or anything?

Yea like a film! ... Hmm ... You know I went nuts ordering decorations this month, so it could be
from any of those possibly (I've moved them around a lot). Petco "betta plants", plastic aquarium plants, Petco tank statues...

I don't think it's caused by left over food either...I make sure they eat every bite & suck out any unwanted chunks.

Is it something in the air maybe?
