In March I'm leaving for roughly 2 weeks, a bit longer. My dads going to ask a friend or hire somebody to house sit. Problem is, I don't really trust other people messing with my Betta. What if they think "Oh, he looks so hungry after just a few pellets." And give Neon 10 pellets or something??? Or if they feel too lazy and don't change water often enough and don't add conditioner???? Question: how much water should the sitter change? I don't really trust anyone with big 100% changes, taking out my fish they might hurt him, they might not even wash out my gravel or my plants, etc. It's a 2.5 gallon. Should I have them do 50% changes twice a week? No way I'm not telling them to do any water changes, I don't want fin rot!
Should I maybe have 4 pre-made containerrs with conditioned water so they don't mess up with that? I'd hope that they would know how to remove the water though... They might forget a little Betta fish since we have other fish so I'm going to take him out of my room. There are ants everywhere though soz I'm ganna have to find a good spot for him. I don't think Neon will be getting any blood worms those weeks, if that's okay.
I know, I'm over-worrying, but I just don't trust others with my fishie
