Vampire, thank-you for the idea, but I actually can't do that. I can't handle auctions, and we don't quite have the money to pay that much for a fish. So, I probably could, but it wouldn't go very well? I also want to look at the fish and see him before I buy one. The Wal-mart here actually does take (relatively) good care of their betta, or there is a petstore I can check out close. If they all look bad there, then I'll look at Aquadbid more.

Yeah I think PetCo gets there nicer bettas from good lines but they're just culls.

Welcome to the forum.

I know you said you were going to wait to get your tank but if you can swing it wal-mart has a really nice 5 gallon tank set up on sale for $19. I believe it comes out to $20 and change to have it shipped to your local store. It's called the Hawkeye 5 gallon.

Glad to see someone doing research before getting the fish. Kudos!
