Red face Mysterious Overnight Cloudyness

Hi everyone,
Here is my recent problem...

I have 3 separate Bettas in 3 separate 2 gallon bowls...then all stand next to each other, looking at each other. All 3 fishes are about 1 or 2 years old. So nothing new...
I keep the water clean and do half changes every week.
Last week, I woke up and saw the water was just completely cloudy. In all 3 aquariums!!! Thinking it was a weird coincidence, I changed all 3 before I left for Thanksgiving... I was gone for 1 day, and when I returned, the water was AGAIN cloudy!!! Some of the males have produced bubbles, but not very much...
To make matters more weird, I did a complete water change on my large aquarium where I have female bettas and guppies. I have a huge container where I pre-prepare the water for the large tank, so I just poured a couple of extra gallons for the males. So the water I used for all the betta tanks and the large tank are the SAME! Now, the large tank is NOT dirty, but all 3 male betta tanks are cloudy again!!!
I haven't changed the food, nothing has died in the aquariums and I'm just totally stumped! Could it be that they are producing something, like a chemical, that is producing this cloudiness?

Any advice is appreciated :)

Something in your local water supply must have changed.

As for the cloudiness, and I think there are bottled aquarium water clarification stuff you can buy. Depending on what has changed exactly, it may or may not work.

That is weird and I don't have any idea what it could be, BUT a once a week change in a 2 gal. bowl seems low to me. I have one of my boys in a 2 gal. bowl with a small internal filter, heater & live plants and I do an 80% water change THREE times a week (Mon., Wed. & Fri.)!!!!

Flakes could cloud your water?
