Violet has dropsy.......

Over the last week or so violet has been bloated so i did not feed her but it did not go down. I went to look into her tank and i see that the scales near her belly are raised :(. She was in thesame / shared tank as pablo my hm who just died of simular causes. What can I o for her and the remaining girl in the tank.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Bloated , stress stripes . raised scales.

Nothing at all . Still swimming around and all!
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
1 week ago , saw raised scales today.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?

Bit of tail damage after spawning.

Got her in may this year.

QT and Epsom salt 1tsp/gal up to 3tsp/gal and water changes is about all you can do and start making some 50% daily water changes on the main tank and lower the water temp to 76F

Sometimes the stress can be too much for them in mixed sex tanks..not saying that was the cause since I keep a lot of my fish like this and don't have any health issues...but mine are all home spawned fish with much stronger immune response...
