so sorry :( its always real hard to lose something your attached to T_T i heard that the pea actually isnt a good idea for bettas since their main diet isnt composed of plant material, it might in affect make their swim bladder problem worse. about a year ago, i lost my first betta to mouth rot... I loved him so T_T whenver i came to the tank, he chirped at me...

So thats what the weird sound is I hear now and again from the tank...! I thought I was hearing things!

I'm so sorry for your loss... There may have been alot of things going on inside of him that none of us, or you could have possibly known about. I'm sure he was happy until the end c:

very true :D cant remember if you said you bought it from petstore but normally when you buy a fish from the petstore, i consider it that your rescueing the fish :D the betta died a happy and meaningful life in the water of someone that loved him

and i dont know if its normal for bettas to chirp but min sure did XD he did it whenever i stepped in the room, he would chrimp multiple times till i approach the tank. then when i have food, he will chrimp some more.
