So one of my friends has a frog that they caught in the pond, and she just put pond scum and leaves and all of that crap in a bowl. Well, apparently, she has a pond snail that came with the scum, and I asked her If I could keep one for my fish.
Can I keep it in Lucky's tank to eat algea? The snail can fit in an area smaller than your pinky nail.
I agree with Shinybetta u should classifiy it first to see if it's not poisinis then if it's not quarintine in a glass jar with aged water and alagea then in a week introduce it and see how your betta responds to the snail
Mystery snails are okay as long as your betta dosen't eat him they are relativly big and my betta could care less about him but snails carry a lot of bacteria and poop a LOT they would dirty up your tank rather than clean it, My betta eats pond snails cause they are so small. She'll pick it up and repeatedly drop it against the rocks, I felt so bad!
It's okay, Id rather just buy it from the store for safety.
