I'm so confused, mad, sad, agry with a firery passion. I recieved 3 bettas from Thailand not even a month ago and now the CT male and the super red HMPK are dead! The super red female looks kinda pale now.......I don't get it. I even saved them the stress of shipping by picking them up from the transhipper. The CT died a week after we got him and the super red male died last night. Why are they just up and dieing? They were in clean tanks with frequent water changes and warm water................I acclimated them correctly, had IAL in the water...........GAH!!!!

BTW I got them from aquabid member Chaba....I will be emailing him.

I've heard many tales of people who get fish from overseas and they don't make it. My theory is they just can't adapt to the new water conditions so the slowly deteriorate. It could be a sign of fish that maybe aren't as healthy or well bred as they look.

That would explain why many people get Thai fish and never have a single problem but others get them and they die in a week.

I'm sorry about your fish. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out what went wrong.

Same here...the fish were amazing! I just sent the email. Here's what I said:

I'm sorry to say this but 2 out of the 3 fish you sent me are now dead. I only have the super red female left. I'm not sure what happened since they were in clean, filtered, heated tanks. I acclimated properly but for some reason they died. The free CT male died after only a week and the super red male died last night. The super red female now looks pale.

Im so sorry they were both lovely fish. Could it be internal parasites? Did they both show any syptoms? or just die?

The CT just died but the super red caught flexibacter and dropsy.......

That's so terrible Mr.V!! I wouldn't order fish from that person anymore, and I would definitely try to see if I could get a partial refund...

Wow that's terrible!!! :( I won't buy from them in the future.

They should send you 2 more free I think of similar coloring/tail.
That's what I would do if I ran a business.
