Cool Sick of Biorb!! What should I get???

So I have had my betta Villa for 5 months now! (Yay!)

Originally I had him in a Baby Biorb which is a 4 gallon tank. He seemed very happy in there for the first few months but then got sick with what we think was some kind of water fungus. I put him into a 1 gallon bowl to get him better and now he is really thriving and happy.

I was cycling his tank today to get him back into the biorb but then I just got mad thinking about all the time and money I have invested in this stupid tank when I think that it is what got him sick in the first place!

I am sick of how the filter is underneath the gravel, so to change the filter, you have to completely tear up the plants and uproot the environment to get to his filter. Also, I hate how you can't buy the gravel or the filters in stores (very few anyways). Also, I hate how the bubble tube is so strong, I don't think he is a fan of it either!

Soooooo....thinking about selling this and starting him out in a new tank that is better for him and for me!

Any suggestions?? I would like to spend less than $80 and have something that looks nice. (Which is why I went with the biorb in the first place but don't judge, this is my first fish ever!)

I want about a 5-10 gallon, nothing bigger than that, I just don't have the room!

I love the hawkeye 5G hex and the eclipse brands, both under $80. :)

Here is a pic of both for an example (3g next to the 10G)

Either will make you, your wallet, and your betta very happy!

Edit: That blue thing in the hex is my filter baffle. It was pushing him around without it.

5 gal starter kits at WalMart are $30 and 10 gal are $40. I'm assuming you already have a heater. You could even divide one of these and get another betta.

What do you use for your filter baffle?

While it's a little on the pricey side, the Fluval Chi is a really nice tank. I don't personally have one, but I've heard good things about it.

Yahoo! Shopping Search Results for fluval chi
