Bored Betta?

A quick and easy way to keep your betta from being bored is to hang a tie or patterned fabric over his or her tank. Its a great way to keep them interested and you can switch it up everyday. If I sense my betta getting bored, I usually put a tie over the tank and he immediately is interested and tries to figure out what it is. Anybody have other interesting ways of keeping their betta occupied?

Drip water down the side of the tank. They love to chase it. Also, in rubbermaid tanks put an ant or bug on the side.

Oh those are great ideas!
I would have never thought of the tie one c:

One thing you can do is get one of those gel bracelets (make sure it doesn't leak colour or sparkles) and tie plastic string to it. Then you can place it somewhere in the tank and tape the string to the underside of the lid. Now they have a little underwater hoop to swim around with!

Interesting... I just got new gravel in my tank and discovered floating rocks. I took the tiny ones out, but left the big one in. He plays with it from time to time or he's trying to eat it. He mostly entertains himself, but now I must look for ways to get him stimulated!

dry erase

red october seems constantly baffled by the things we leave and take away from our kitchen table where he lives but if he gets bored we take a dry erase marker and scribble on the tank or draw a picture - right now he has a christmas tree and he will go down to make sure its sill there
