*Sigh* My Siamese has hypothyroidism & blood issues...

So she was lethargic & not eating for two days...I hoped it was just because of the rapid cold
snap here, or just a cold maybe...But the blood work showed infection of the blood,
hypothyroidism, and some kidney & liver levels off (most likely caused by the hypothyroidism).
She's 13, so she's a senior kitty.
I start her treatment of antibiotic, transdermal hormones, and a new kidney friendly diet (Which she ATE right up! Thank goodness!) & return in 2 weeks for a check up.

She purred the WHOLE time at the vet's, they all loved her. :) I hope this stuff helps her
live her Golden Years the best as possible.

I read your post title and that you meant your siamese fighting fish had hypothyroidism & blood issues. I was wondering how anyone could do a blood test on a tiny fish - lol! Good Luck with your kitty. :)

LOL Here Fishy Fishy....I would have assumed the same thing!
Thank goodness we don't have to do blood tests on bettas..don't think they'd take it very kindly!

Awww, poor kitty! I hope the meds work for her. I had a half Siamese when I was a kid. She was ornery as heck and an excellent hunter. She lived for 18 years. We still miss her.
