Cycling process question

Hello; I posted this topic in the wrong section a couple days ago so I figured I should try again here ^^;

I've gotten my 10 gallon to the point where ammonia drops from 5 ppm to 0 in 24 hours but my nitrites are still high. Am I supposed to keep adding ammonia until the nitrites drop or do I stop adding ammonia to the tank now?

Thank you for your time!
