Swim bladder disease

Well my large angel fish is sick. I removed him from my 55 gallon and placed him in a 10 gallon. He was doing fine all
day, then out of no where he was stuck in plant upside down. I thought he was just stuck but once I untangled him he couldn't swim and was floating all over the tank upside down and on his side. My kissing fish took advantage of this since they seem to pray on the sick or weak fish, reason I moved him.

But anyways I removed him, the temp is at about 78 to 80 and added medicine. I have the filter turned off and I hav a air stone on. He is at the moment in a plant proped upright. I dud some research and everything points to swim bladder disease. So I tried to feed him peas mashed up, but didn't want any.

I cross my fingers for him to get better or die peacefully.

He didn't make it. :( along with my betta, angel fish are my favorite.

It's alright I still have one angel fish. I would like to get more but all the stores around here carry young ones that are thesize of a quater. I would hate to get one only to have my bigger angel pick on him. I need to find a place that carries large ones about 3 to 5 inches in diameter.

My recently purchased DTHM male had swim bladder and recovered..... but next day it came back.... and just before I wrote this post.... it recovered again..

Should I be worried? It's weird because whenever I thaw a pea.. he's fine... not even feeding it to him.... I will continue to moniter.. but I thought it was weird that he recovered then gets it again...

It might be the food that you are feeding him.. Try another brand of Pellets and see how that goes. And always remember to fast him once a week

Well this was my first time having a problem with this disease. I have never had any problems with my betta. I would just say keep an eye on him.
