Question How much AQ salt can I add?

So I read that if you add a little bit of aquarium salt to the tank after a water change, it will help to prevent diseases such as Velvet and ich. Is this true?

If it is true, how much do I add to a 1.75 and a 2.5 gallon tank? IDK if this is improtant or not, but the 2.5 gets twice weekly 100% water changes and the 1.75 gets 100% water changes every other day, and there is no filter in either tank.

You really don't want to do long term salt or you can cause resistant problems for wrong dosage and kidney failure

Salt use is best in correct dosage and duration for treatments only..limited to 10 days in my experience.....

Betta do best in freshwater

On unfiltered tanks 1g-4g-twice weekly water changes of 1-50% and 1-100% should maintain water quality in a single Betta tank provided that the Betta is not overfed and uneaten food is removed after feeding...however, in unfiltered tank more water changes are not harmful and not problematic....

I personally use AQ salt, cause i have had a fish that had velvet and fungas disease, i put in a lil pinch of AQ salt per liter, and my fish seem to do fine with that. Just depends on your preferance, personally i dont want my fish to get sick lol.
