your favorite dechloronator substance

well cuz i made a mistake of buying api betta water conditioner and it ran out today.... im going to switch to a normal basic tap water dechloronator out there.

i've read this forum and learn what i need, just a basic dechloronator (removes chlorine, chloramines, & heavy metals), no need to have aloe vera, or any additive.

so im asking you guys, what do you guys use for your tap water?

i just went to petsmart and ask the lady works in the fish section and she said they use topfin water conditioner and it seems legit (10ml for 10gal).

so which brand guys? api/top fin/kordon (whats the benefit of getting the amquel and novaqua combo w.e???)

The best water conditioner is Prime. One capful per 200 gallons, so you can get a big bottle of it and not run out for a few months.

I prefer my Aqueon Ammonia Neutralizer combined with Kordon Fish Protect..eliminates chlorine, ammonia, chloramines, heavy metals, and adds Vitamin B12...

I really like API Stress Coat....my bettas can get beat up and chewed up pretty badly during breeding and when young males fight so I want something that reduces stress and repairs fins and missing scales. Prime works pretty good from what I've heard.

I love nutrafin aqua plus. Lasts a long time, has virtually no odor, and mixes into the water quickly. It also has a patented stress coat formula in it.

I'm voting for API Stress Coat! It does have additives in it, but it seems to work really well. Also, if you add a little extra it can aid in healing and keeping your fish calm.

Same here. Have been using Prime for years. Have tried other stuff on occasion, but I ALWAYS come back to Prime!
