I dont know enough about them to know all the different colors, but I know that I like black ones, the tan ones,a dn the normal grey ones you see everywhere. lol.. I obviously just love THEM.
but they are too much work for me, I am done with things in cages. =[
I've always wanted a chinchilla but I've never been able to have one. As a child my parents didn't like the idea of pets that would live more than 5 years so I was only allowed fish and a hamster. Boy were they mad when my gold fish lived 15 years. They did eventually, after 8 years of begging, let me get a dog who passed away last year at the happy age of 16.
Now that I've moved out I'm too busy to properly care for anything more than a fish.
Anyways, I'm happy for you. Chinchillas are awesome. As for color; I personally don't believe in going into an adoption situation with a notion of what I want my pet to look like. I like to believe that the one I'm meant to have will find his way to me, and I've never been let down.
Ok thanks guys for your opinions. I am going to get one from a private breeder since I live in Shanghai. Shanghai is a really terrible place for animals to live and the pet stores treat their animals horribly. So I think that a private breeder would be my best choice. I really like the colors black velvet, beige and white with darker ears. They once had a brown one but it was bought by some rich dude as soon as it was weaned. He bought it for 8000RMB which is like 1000 something USD. I am really excited since I've wanted a chinchilla since I was 8.
