What size is to small?

Well with the AquaBlock post I got an idea lol, Kinda like the AquaBlock but a nice larger, and much better version Needless to say I would like to know you thoughts on what the smallest size you would feel happy with housing your Betta in. I'v read some say 1 gallon some say 5 gallons, what do you think?

I think 2 gallons is the smallest I would put my pet in. 1 gallon is just too hard to care for and bettas like having some space.

I wouldn't go smaller then 2.5 gallons (I would reluctantly go to 2 gallons, but that's pushing it).

Alrighty Ill try to make a plan from 2.5 gallons to 5 gallons. This is just something to kinda keep me busy and give me something to do lol.

Two gallons is the absolute smallest I would go. I have a 2 gal. drum bowl that is filtered & heated, two 3 gal. bowls that are filtered and heated and the rest are 5 gal. tanks - also filtered & heated.

1 gallon IF the betta is on the small side, no less than 2 gallons otherwise.

Well, I'm just not understanding the 1 gallon crap. Way back when I first joined the board, 1 gallon was a big no no. To be honest it's too small, harder to maintain, and harder to heat.
I'm also not understanding how it's okay to keep a betta (DBT, DT, VT, CT....) in a 1 gallon when there size varies (especially their fins) yet the standard size for a King Betta has increased greatly.
10-15 gallons min for a King Betta? Why? I don't think they get much bigger then 3-5 inches. They aren't Giants, there is a difference.
Sorry for the rant, I'm just not getting it.

Well here is my first simple basic design lol. True there are a ton of betta cubes, but how many have the sand feature rofl... I was going to make it 3d looking but my tablet isn't hooked up yet.

the bottom will be 100% however you want it, cause it would be your design. Though these may not be exactly correct sized for the tank to slide and fit nicely on the sand, I thought it seemed like a neat idea at the time. It would take up a little more space then the evil AquaBlock and still look nice, you could use a pad style heater for under the tank, as it sits on the sand it would help spread the heat. I dont know maybe I envisioned it to look better then I made it seem.

The smallest aquarium I would ever put a betta in is 2.5 gallons. Mine is in a 5 gal now and he's never been happier :].
