Introduction?

Hey there folks!

I am not sure if i missed something but i didnt see an introductions section for new members.

Just wanted to say "hi" and thanks. Prior to registering i would browse these forums for hints and tips. Especially after the loss of our second betta. I have learned a fair deal from the experienced posters here and look forward to learning and discussing!

Hi! :)

I do have a question. The forum description in this area reads

Quote:
Casual chat about betta names and anythything and everything betta fish related.
Where would off topic posts unrelated to bettas go? I dont want to be breaking any rules as a newbie here ;)

They would go into the lounge! Welcome! If you have any bettas currently, you should show them off in the pictures section of the forum. :D

I will. Our male "Guster" is quite a unique looking one from what i have seen from the selection at our local pet store. He was a deep indigo/black. Super sweet looking.

Just put him in a new tank this afternoon. The 2.5 gal cracked so we had him in a large bowl for the time being.

We gave him an upgrade. 5.5 gal an extra log to swim through and an extra plant. I actually feel better about his tank set up now. More stuff for him in there and more depth overall.

How long should i wait to feed him after the transitioning period? I didnt want to throw food after this big change. I was thinking of waiting 30min to an hour for him to adapt a bit.

I'd give him maybe an hour or so to settle into his new home.
