The Floating Betta Exercise Mirror

I know that some people love to watch their betta flair up sometimes (myself included), and mirrors are an easy way to make them do it, but...It is called an "exercise mirror". That is silly!

Sure they get exercise but...I don't know. I guess that is just me going on about small things like this. It just seems somewhat funny, right?


(BTW, if anyone is going to get this product, please don't expose your betta to it's reflection for more than 30minutes a day. It does "exercise" them, but it does it so "well" it tires them out quickly. It also can make them stressed.)

I think the floating ball alone would give them excercise LOL I need to get some toys for my boys......

I have this! After a month of having Casper, I'd never seen him flare up. I thought this could boost his confidence a little bit (a threatening male would retreat (I'd take out the mirror), and he'd feel accomplished). I tried it for the first time a week ago, and he immediately hid in his cave. Poor thing. I took it out that very second. I tried it again today, and he was actually interested. Sure enough, he flared! He was very lackadaisical about it, and in less than a minute, he wondered off.

Sometime soon, I'll try having him in a large tank with some tank mates. I'll use it very sparingly, so as not to make him aggressive.

I really want one for my betta! My fish is a bit aggressive and he likes to show off, so I think this would be really fun for him :)

My betta, Tony had some fun when I put a Ghost Shrimp in his tank. He had a strange spark in his eye, and a freakishly funny and scarey satisfaction in hunting the little GS. I removed the GS, but Tony still thinks he is there.

My betta has some form of ADD, I got this mirror for him because he rarely shows aggression. He used to just look at the mirror and bite it a little. And then sometimes ignore it completely. Just recently I got him to do a half flare before turning around to look at me. When I first got him he was super feisty and flared at everything and everyone. He looked so pretty all flared up. Ah well...
