ok so I purchased a new 5 gallon tank with filter I got black and blue gravel and wrised it very well but when I put the water in the tank it is blue I rinsed it out two more times and the water is still blue. seems like the paint is coming off? is it going to keep having a blue color till I run the filter or do I have to keep rinsing the gravel? All the other tanks I had was the natural gravel color so I never came across this problem

I wouldn't use that gravel if I were you. I got blue gravel from Walmart, and it NEVER did that. Don't risk your fish's health. Just get a new bag.

I would bag it up and take it back. Explain that the water remained blue and you suspect the paint is coming off. I'd also send a letter to the manufacturer of the gravel..
