Thanks for the reply. I hope he will come around.. He still isnt using the fin..and his fin rot is getting worse.. I have added salt into the water so im hopeing that might help with that. But when I moved him into another cleaner bowl with the net the morning, some of his fins actually came off into the net.. I was very gentle with moving him he barely moved in the net when I did..

I'm afraid I don't have any experience with fin rot (only tail biting). I read on here that what you're doing is good for healing that, but I don't know for sure. I hope he gets better - keep us posted!

It's helping everything else but the fin rot.. But I'm probably just being impatient.. I'm sure it will get better soon. Thanks for the support! :)

Here is a good pic of the fin rot.. But it is from earlier today.. the few strands on his back fin are now gone..But he is swimming around more and is actually begging for food...Oh and I added some aqua salt in to the treatment today.. note-the white spots are on the outside of the bowl..not on him..

Also.. Some members are talking about Melafix and how it is harmful to Bettas. Well I have been treating him with it..And he is doing fine other than his fins and the pectoral fin...Soo? What do you think?
