Who says this kind of stuff?? *rant*

Who says this kind of stuff on national television about a part of their own country? I've lived in Appalachia all my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. We are not all stupid, we are not all drunk or on drugs, and we are not all ignorant.

We have closer family ties than most parts of the country, and I think we have a wonderful culture; not a "culture of poverty".

My Dad has watched Fox religiously for years Mr. O'Reilly, thanks for the support.

Youtube is just loaded with sad Appalachian videos, most of us are not like this!!!

*end rant*

People are so ignorant the way they stereotype others.

O'Reilly is an idiot TV performer who makes his living by playing the hard nosed conservative so his audience can sit at home and go 'Yeah, tell 'em Bill!" NOT to be taken too seriously, he is a p-e-r-f-o-r-m-e-r.

Culture of poverty? What he doesn't know (or can't admit) is that money is not the be all and end all measure of happiness. I personally made over twice as much money 20 years ago when I lived in Cali, but was angry far too much of my day on a regular basis. Made the choice to move to a rural setting far away from the Cali culture and have never regretted it for a moment. Does that mean I have become a failure? I don't THINK so

O'Reilly is entitled to his opinion, but he isn't necessarily right.

I have a neighbor who has a heck of a lot more money than I do and she is one of the most unhappy people I know. She brags about all her money then turns around and says she can't afford $50 to have her dog groomed. Money doesn't buy happiness.

It's sad what some people will stoop to just to earn a couple more bucks. Just sad.
