Talking Newwwwts.

My Japanese fire-bellied newts that I posted about a few months back are finally looking better! I thought I'd post a few pictures of them for ya.

They still need names people! So if you can think of a couple of cute names, or a neat pair name, please. Share. :)

Here are the newwwwts.

Ohai.

"heyyyy! Get over here!"

"screw it. *zoom*"

Their home at the moment... still need to add more junk to the tank. Devoting tomorrow to that... and water changes. Lots of fishie water changes.

Enjoy!

P.S. Anyone who has cared for fire bellied newts before and has suggestions on what to put in the tank to make them happier, let me know what you think... I'm not exactly the biggest amphibian expert so help is always appreciated. :)

Awww, they're so cute! I just love animals. All kinds of animals. Even some people find squicky, like snakes and newwwwts, as you put it. LOL Name them Bonnie and Clyde. Sorry, I don't know if they're a boy and girl, girl and girl, or boy and boy. LOL

Nice tank! Do you have anywhere for them to get out of water? My newts all have little floating lily pads. They need to get out of water every once in a while. Also, newts prefer cooler temperatures, 65 degrees is perfect.

I think the ratio is 1/3 land to 2/3 water or something like that.. or was it 1/4th?
That coffee cup in there was an attempt at an island lol... but I'll be making some mods to the tank today or sometime this week.
And my house stays pretty cool in the winter so I'm not too worried about temp... Theres a thermometer on the side just in case something goes horribly wrong though.
