My Crowntail has an injured pectoral fin...

I just bought a new Betta, and I just realized he has a torn pectoral fin. It's not fin rot (no brown). How much aquarium salt do I need to use to help him heal? I know it will eventually heal on its own, I just want to help the healing along.

Thank you! =) I feel so sorry for him. I'm glad I have in a shallow container at the moment.
