My craiglist doesn't have much in the area. Most of what they have is 120 gallons and up, and the smallest they have are around 20. I'm only looking for 5 or 10.

Try looking at thrift stores, I found a 5 gallon with substrate, a filter, and a hood for $10 and it was in really good shape. ^^

Gosh. This thread is going to make me cry. I got a 1.5 gallon at PetSmart for $15.99. Now I have a 10 gallon that cost me, with supplies, about $95.

Welcome Miggy10. You should make a new thread for that question. Go to the Betta Fish Care forum and you should see a button saying NEWTHREAD on the far lefthand side near the top. You should only get a betta if you are ready to be a responisble fish owner. Since you have fish, it will be an easier decision. Start a new thread and more than one person will answer your questions.

I just purchased on aqeon set on clearence at petco- 62$ for 10gal tank- 50 watt heater-hood with light/fish net/ tropical flakes/ tank thermometer/water conditioner- although the sad part is- I just remembered how much time it took me to get used to the tiny filter in my 2gal and finally get to sleep-and I'm having second thoughts on weather I actually want another fish- I'm doing good with aristophanese- thinking 2 fish might be crowded- and thinking I might actually need the money I spent for something else.....

FYI the 14 gallon sale at Petco does include a heater! It's $40 all together, but the 14 gallon complete setup is usually upwards of $80!
