Christmas Dinner

Who else is cooking Christmas dinner and what are you making?

My husband is Air Force and his superiors brought over a ton of food for us since we are staying here for the holidays! I wasn't going to make Christmas dinner, but now since I have all the fixings I plan on doing turkey, garlic red mashed potatoes, sausage cranberry stuffing, mixed veggies, and croissants!

Am I missing anything? This is only my second holiday dinner that I'll have made all by myself :)

typically I help my mom make a ham, some korean side dishes, a casserol, yams, and the dessert, though this year my grandma is hosting christmas dinner so we're going to go eat a huge traditional korean meal at her house :)

my mother-in-law wants to do dinner at her house but I do not wanna go cause she can not cook (food is always dry and/or burnt and she coughs all over the place) and I have a thing about people not washing their hands (I got food poision many times). I want to stay home and make my own dinner and dont know how to tell her. I already have a ham and stuffin was thinking of also doing mash pototatoes, white rice, gravy, green bean cassorol, rolls, corn on the cob, cake and pumpkin pie. The croassints sounds good though and they're my favorite think I'll do that instead of rolls.

Ooo I love traditional ethnic meals :) I was a Chinese Linguist before being a stay at home mom and had many traditional Chinese meals. I haven't had any Korean meals, but sounds yummy!

And yes tsoto, I agree staying home would be nicer! Green bean casserole sounds good... I might swap out my mixed veggies with that!

A few years ago we spent Christmas in Germany. We had turkey, ham and all the trimmings but we also had some German food because my sister-in-law is German and her mom and sister had dinner with us. My brother cooked everything and it was wonderful!!

My family isn't big on Christmas since they're Muslim. We do a little decorating and gift giving for fun, but we don't really do anything big and traditional. We just have normal Persian food at night.

I will be making Christmas dinner this year, too. I just went to the grocery store today. We will have mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese, garlic crescent rolls, baked beans, ham (for nonvegetarians), and key lime pie for dessert.
