Sincerely n00b Question

I plan on making a special themed tank, and I'm gonna need to use a lot of wood if I can. Is bamboo ("dead") okay? Would I have to use driftwood instead? I'm going for wood that can be both below and above the surface level.

Idk about "dead" bamboo, but yes you can put live bamboo in an aquarium. You just have to make sure the the leaves are sticking out of the water otherwise they will rot.
