Betta still won't eat after 2 1/2 weeks.

Me again...Still having trouble getting my little guy to eat or even be interested in food. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and I don't know how much longer he can go. He is very very tiny compared to how he was and barely swims around. I have done everything I know I could do. I got him a new tank, heater, everything! The test strips all come out normal and the temperature is fine. I just don't know what to do anymore and it's really stressing me out. I just want him to be okay it's killing me seeing him suffer!! Please if anyone has tips on what I can do differently I would soo greatly appreciate it.

But is he trying to eat and just spits it right back out..?

He doesn't even try to eat. I put food in there and I know he see's it he just has no interest and I know he must be starving! He just sits at the top of the tank or at the bottom.

How big is your tank..? And how often do you do water changes?

I just moved him from a 1 gallon with no heater to a 5 gallon with a heater and a filter. He was living in the 1 gallon with no heater for a long time so I'm thinking that is what got him sick plus I didn't do water changes very often because I had no idea you had to do it daily.

I haven't done any water changes yet but I was told to do like 25% water change once a week from people at petsmart.

Yeah once Drax tasted Pellets he NEVER touches the flakes now... so I gave up on those.

Apparently I read that if you soak the food in 'Garlic Oil' it will get them hungrier...

I would try Hikari micro pellets since he's tiny. Maybe he'll eat those.
