Hi Everyone!

Hello, I'm new here and happy to have found this great website! After months of consideration, I have finally decided to buy myself a beautiful fish companion

I'm going out to the local Petco tomorrow to pick up the supplies. I was thinking since I live in a cramped college dorm with a roommate, a 2g bowl will be sufficient (with a heater of course!!). Not too small, but small enough so that I can fit it on my desk easily.

I'm hoping to get everything set up before I buy my lovely fish, but I'm prone to falling in love with animals at first sight, so we'll see how strong my willpower is!

I wanted to thank everyone here for the information. It was helpful in my struggle to determine if I am capable of caring for an animal in the college setting. I will post pictures as soon as the little guy is settled in!

Welcome! Make sure to keep up with water changes, since you don't have a filter. I can't wait to see your fish!

Bad news everyone, I checked with my Hall Advisor and she said she doesn't want a fish on our hall because they are messy to clean and unsanitary... I'll be getting mine over the summer!

Thanks for the warm welcomes and advice!
