Unhappy My First Emergency!!

Yesterday I noticed the new girl betta I got had slashes on both sides of her head. The only thing that I can figure out that happened is that she got her head stuck in the holes at the bottom part of my sumersible filter. I am guessing that I have to buy a hospital tank to put her in? Do I leave it bare or can I put decore in it? Also the water changes and added salt or no?? I will try to post some pictures. The ones I took were to blurry. Please help me to help my lil girl!

All I was able to purchase was a one gallon fish bowl. I did get the heater that is for 2-10 gallons but I do not know if it would make the water too hot. It says it would keep the water at 78 degrees. I am also unsure how much conditioner to put in the water and how many water changes to do a week. She is acting fine and everthing it just the cuts on her head is making me worried.

Use the heater and watch the temperature closely.

Do daily water changes in her new bowl and a teaspoon of aquarium salt to help prevent infection while it heals.

Depending of the conditioner you use just do the math to find out how much to add for 1 gallon.

thank you for the reply. I put about 1/8 of a teaspoon of conditioner in the water. I am using tetra aqua safe. The cuts are deeper than I thought and there was a lil blood in the transfer bowl I was using. I am currently vacuuming the gravel in the 20 gallon community tank I had her in (Trying to bring the ammonia level down) Is there anything else I need to do?

I think keeping her in clean water is the best thing you can do for her.
