New boy

Here's my new boy that I bought along with Octavian. No name yet, suggestions are welcome! He's come a long way from the guy that spent mostof his time hiding in the container I first put him in. He likes the new 5 gallon portion a lot-took to it right away and came over and flared right away! He's a lot more comfortable around the camera too.

Timid in his container:

New pictures:

I love his fins-looks a bit like a crowntail's.

What a cutiepie! Names are sometimes difficult, though I like to skim through 20000Names and Nameberry.

Oh, what a pretty combtail! His coloring is so nice, too. What camera do you use to take your pictures? They're really clear...

That is a gorgeous combtail pattern! :)
What kinds of plants are those in the tank?
The floaters look real.
Is that creeping jenny in there, or a plastic plant?
Grats on the great new fish! He's so cute!

Thanks guys!

He's not a HM...probably a SD...he's pretty close to 180 degrees, but it comes a little short. It's more obvious if you see him flare in person. But I think he's something like a half-sun.

Lucy, all of the plants in the tank (except for the marimo balls) are silk or plastic. You can find those floating plants in the reptile section of Petsmart, they're supposed to be used to save bugs from drowning in water dishes and whatnot. My bettas really seem to like them though.

Learn to Fly, it's a Sony Cybershot...mine looks like this. I really like it, it has an auto-adjust feature that (usually) switches to Macro right away when I take pictures of my fish.

Of course, I still have to take a ton of pictures to get a few clear ones!
