Hi, I'm a newbie and am really excited with my new aquarium I got for Christmas. It's a Fluval Chi so it has a fountain on top of the filter box. Problem is, I can't seem to get it to work today. It was difficult to get the flow going but eventually, I did. This morning I gravel vac'd and didn't pay attention to the water level getting too low. When it went below the filter box, the fountain stopped and I can't seem to get the air out in order for the flow to start again. It's driving me crazy! I've followed the instructions....still no luck. I don't know what I could be doing wrong. The sucking noise is sooo getting on my nerves. Can anyone help me??? Thanks!
Thanks for responding. I didn't fill cube....not in the set-up instructions. However, after spending over an hour ocd-ing about it, following the instruction booklet's fixes, I unplugged the filter cube (like I should have when I removed the water ) and turned the entire cube upside-down, removed the filter, rinsed it, put it back, turned the cube back over and turned it on. Eureka! It worked! Sometimes following the rules doesn't work and you just gotta think for yourself! lol
