New 14 gallon

Went to Petco and got a new 14 gallon for 39.99. Had everything I needed, heater included. It's almost completely set up, except I need some terracotta pots which I'm getting tomorrow (:

I'll update it when I get it completely set up... (: Looks a lot better in person, to be honest. Has a lot more depth and color. Peaceful looking.

I'm really unsure. I LOVE the look of it so far, and divided tanks, while it would help with maintenance, I really want a community tank.... And thank you (:

Lurvely tank... I'm jealous lol. My tanks have mugs, a few have cabomba, and mayve a few other hiding places... and that's about it. Ahahaha.

That's one spoiled betta ;)

I bought that same pack of silk plants (the ones with the pink flowers) a while ago. My Betta absolutely LOVES them, he guards them jealously from the shrimp and I always find him sleeping in them even though he has a betta log and a nice cave.

Oh I know! I have some in my 10 gallon and the boy obsess over the things! It's adorable, and why I'm risking putting him in such a large tank without a hide. I doubt he'd use it anyways! He'll get one tomorrow though (:

Here he is "enjoying" it :PP He looks so tiny in there! Trust me, he's moving around so much it looks much less... open than in the pictures.

Edit: I'm resisting the urge to make this into a sorority. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to, though... I really want to.

how are you going to cycle that tank?
I saw it at petsmart today, good deal, but i wish it weren't so tall, in my experience betta like shallower waters, still the price is right and I could split it 3 ways..
what do you think?
I noticed it comes with incadescent bulbs though-i think you have to replace these with florescent lighting to avoid heat fluctations and also to grow real plants?(I have some hornwort coming!!!)
Thoughts?
