Cycling and Decorating Success!

I think my tank finally cycled. The ammonia and nitrite have been sitting at 0 for 2 days without a water change and my nitrate is sitting at 5ppm. I did a 50% water change this morning because I didn't want to just stop the changes suddenly. I also added the river rocks that I've been wanting since I started planning this tank. My cories are all exploring and grazing and my betta is investigating every new rock. I'm so excited. It turned out exactly like I wanted it to. I even found a snail when I got the tank all put together!

Anyway, here's pictures:

Hehe, it's hard to tell what are cories and what are rocks. I think they like it that way.

Intrigued betta:

All that's left is finding a new heater and florescent bulbs that fit in this hood.

That hide is AMAZING! :D

They sell mini CFLs at Lowe's and Home depot! =] I believe mine are 13 watts.

You'll want Daylight bulbs (6,500K or greater) but you probably already knew that. =]

What is the name of that striped plant? I've never seen it before. :D

The striped plant is ribbon plant. It's semi-aquatic, but it was packaged for aquarium use and the guy there said it did better submerged than most semi-aquatics. It was pretty, so I just figured that if it didn't do well, I'd just get rid of it. It's doing pretty good right now, so we'll see if that lasts.
