The skull had to go...

Was giving the tank a good clean and i was up to the skull and started to rub it with my hands to clean it, and the paint started to rub off! not good! So that was the last of that in Axl's tank :( maybe i'll get him some driftwood to make up.

i remember someone else having the same problem with their tank decor so i knew that wasnt good for the fish.

whoa! D: I'm gonna have to check out your gallery and see what the skull looked like! I wanted one for one of my tanks but now I'm definitely questioning that. :[

Sorry about your skull. That really bites. :/

I had a pirate skull in my tank once, the paint came off of that too.

I honestly don't know why they sell these things for aquariums when they don't hold up in the water.

i know, seems utterly stupid as it could be harmful to the fish

Aw man! I have a Gator skull in my 10g QT (called "GatorSwamp"). It is covered in diatoms. I might need to take it out. Thanks for the warning! Surely don't want fish comeing in unhealthy from the QT!

man...if only i had ties to local fish communities i could make a killing hand crafting ornaments out of clay, then giving them a food safe, waterproof glaze coating >.<

That stinks. It's like Petco selling non-aquatic plants with the fish.
