Exclamation New Tank

Today I am going to Walmart to get a new tank for my fish, Gubby. What are the needed things that I need to get. I know I need a large tank (I think I'm going to get a 10 gallon one) and a heater. Do I need the gravel that goes on the bottom and do I need little things that also go into the tank? Does anyone know where I can get these materials cheap?

Thanks,

Patrick

I just bought a ten gallon walmart kit for $40..
1. I will have to switch the incadescent bulbs it came with to florescent bulbs
2. You will need a heater
3. glass thermometer at walmart is like $2
3. water conditioner to remove chlorine
4. I think you need the gravel to give the bacteria something to live in as you cycle your tank..(I am going to use the shrimp in method)
5. You will need some sort of test kit to cycle the tank
6. I use broken terra cotta pots for my betta caves, they are cheap and bettas love them but try to find ones that say made in usa
