Darn walmart!

Well my mom and me just came home from walmart a few hours ago...and of course I saw a betta that I thought was dead but I picked her up and she still was alive. So of course I took her home and she is now in a critter keeper which I am not exactly sure how many gallons but I'm thinking it's at least 3. She barley has ANY tail so I added AS to her water and she is super skinny! I was just wondering if I should try feeding her tonight since she looks like she hasn't eaten for a week. >:l Or should I wait? And what would be the best to feed her?

Thanks,Kayla

I would feed her. Unless a fish is bloated, there is no reason to wait to feed them. I would make sure to pre-soak her pellets.

You're welcome. Also, if she's small, try to pick out really small pieces of food for her. But don't overfeed.

poor baby! aquarium salt, warm water, and try draping a dark towl or blanket over the back three sides of her tank. that always relaxes my girls when they're stressed. my second-ever female was so small when i got her, i had to crush the pellets. i eventually got some New Life Spectrum Grow, and those were the perfect size for her tiny mouth.

She still has stress stripes....They are somewhat fading since we got her home. I think she ate part of her pellet and I'm waiting for tomorrow to go get new frozen blood worms for my bettas since my brother for some reason decided to throw mine away. -_- I will try putting a towel over the tank and see if it helps her. :) Thanks! Heres some pics of her...
