Fishy Gumdrops?

I had a cory cat enthusiast suggest these frozen fish gumdrops as a healthy food for my betta's tankmates. The first couple times I fed it, Samuel couldn't care less. He figured out that they were edible this morning and thinks they're better than his betta pellets. The gumdrops are a variety pack, one sort of gumdrop has brine shrimp in it, another has bloodworms, and the last has a vegetable medley. Is there any reason not to just let him eat what the cories don't get to instead of feeding him pellets? If I feed both, he'll bloat up. If I need to, I can isolate him for feeding time, but if he's ok on just the brine shrimp or bloodworms, it would be easier to do that.

Actually, never mind on that, he's started chasing the cory away from his food, so he's getting pulled or lured away for feedings from now on. Is it a good idea to give him 1 or 2 bits off the block as a protein-rich treat?

Variety is always a good thing. Giving him a bit of "gumdrop" once or twice a week will be good for him.

Maybe not w/ the veggie one as they are carnivores!
