Microbubbles

They're killing me it's SO annoying!!!

I'm a total clean freak when it comes to my tanks... there can not be one single imperfection.

But these microbubbles just make my water look dirty because it looks like particles of dust or fish poo or something are floating around. I want to get rid of them.

Okay, confession, I only get a few (usually 15-30 floating under the water at a time) and I'm using a penguin 100 biowheel filter. The water has been in the tank for roughly 2 weeks with no water change (cycling) so it's obviously not fizzy from adding it without letting it sit.

So how do I get rid of these things?

Are they coming from where the water pours out of your filter? If so, just raise the water level. I have a penguin filter and I bring the water level a little over the lip where the water falls out. This creates less surface disturbance and I get little to no bubbles.

Are they all over the tank water? I have them too! I think it just means your water is pretty oxygenated, but I could be wrong....

Ya they're all over the water... no they're not from the out take of the filter.

the out take is already partly submerged /=
