Question My female betta keeps jumping!

Hi everyone,

I would like to hear your thoughts on a situation I keep seeing with my female betta fish. I've had my female betta fish since last September and she's been doing really well. However, just recently I have noticed that at night, once I turn her 3 gallon aquarium lights out, she actually jumps!

Now I know bettas are known to be jumpers and thankfully my aquarium has a top on it, but do you think she jumping because she is happy or is it something else? She's eating great and is swimming around happily and I did a water change yesterday...all parameters look great and the aquarium temperature stays around 78.

I really like my betta so I just want what's best for her and was wondering if it's okay that she's jumping. I guess I'm just a worrier that's all, haha. Thank you for your help and I appreciate your thoughts.

She probably jumps because she thinks you're going to feed her.
