For pictures, i have a small (about .5G) kritter keeper i use during water changes. I do one at a time, and put each fish in the kritter keeper and take pictures of them ( i already have them out anyway).

For me getting 3 of my boys to flair is easy, i use the marker end or a dry-erase marker against the glass. The other 2 require seeing another fish.

My camera has a "super macro" option, it shoots things rreeaaaally close, see if your camera has that...and natural sunlight is the best to take pictures in. :)
