A new heater on the market??

I haven't seen this heater before. Has anyone here tried it?

Zoomed betta heater

They're the same guys who made the betta log.

Thoughts? I kind of want it if it works.

I use this heater in my desktop tank at work... it worked great for the first couple of weeks, now its not holding the temp at the same level, but i'm not sure if that is because tis just colder over all in the office or if its because its not working as well. i think its because of the office temp.

i got it for $7.99 when i first got it.

I had a couple of those heaters in 3 gal tanks. It kept the tank temp right at room temp instead of 5-10 degrees over... and in a house that is usually kept at 65 degrees, the temp was way too cold & fluctuated way too much. I ended up having to shell out a lot of money for adjustable heaters, but I'm able to stabilize the tanks now.

It only holds a constant temperature if the temp in the room never changes. In an office, that's probably not possible as you're not the one controlling the thermostat. Likewise if you're living in a house that's not yours (as in your parent's house). But, if you keep your house a 77 in the winter like I do (I'm always freezing) then it could work fine. Of course when you open the house in the spring, temps will change. I just don't think these are a good idea. There are too many chances for disaster. Still, I guess it's better then no heater at all.
