Travelling with Bettas

I'm traveling up to MN for a few months and I'm bringing the betta crew. My idea was to basically "pack my bettas" and then float them in my 14 gallon tank with a couple inches of heated water. I have an adapter so I'll be able to run my tank heater in the car!

Is there anything else I should do to aid them? Maybe put the plants around them so they don't move too much? I'm going to be giving them each some IAL too.. It's only a 2 day trip from here to my hometown.

It would slosh back and forth a lot, i'd bag them (less water movment) and put some disposable heaters next to them. If it works for 2+ days in shipping, it'll definitely work for a 2 day car ride.

I don't want to buy a whole bunch of packaging/heat packs when I can just pack em in in the tanks... They'll be bagged, and I'll make sure they won't slosh. Prob use bubble wrap around them lol or something.
