i just feel bad...Marbles is an active little fish but i feel like hes gotta be bored sometimes because he IS so active...all i have are his two little plants...id like to give him more to do/look at

Personally I wouldn't use a shell, I have read that they leach something that can kill your betta, I would research it more if I were you.

I bought a terracota pot (99 cents-make sure it's made in USA-I have heard ones from other countries may have poisonous substance in it)and broke it with a hammer and then sanded the edges down with sandpaper- my guys love swimming through the arch it created (see picture) and it was cheap

@sjones: oooh that looks cool

@fishman: haluna matata! before I put ANYTHING in it, I'll do some research...I will likely look into putting a polished stone or two and possibly a big clam type shell in it.

be careful boiling rocks, some can explode.

just run under hot-warm water

i actually found more half-flattened glass marbles today, he already has a couple in his tank...tomorrow I'm doing a 100% water change(since we are moving to my dorm) so I'll add those then...still gonna wait for the other stuff
