Please help!!!

I was feeding my bettas today, and one of my betta's sam
started spazzing out like nuts darting all around the tank, and he completly ripped off his whole top fin, he only has his tail fin and his botton one left. and the tail fin is ripped a bit aswell... what can i do to help him, i feel soo upset at the moment he looks terrible, he has the top find hanging by one thread! please help me!!!! i need to make him better!

p.s i have taken out his barrel ect from his tank and have just a silk plant in there now aswell.

How big is his tank? Do you have a heater for the tank?

Its a 15 liter split glass tank, with heater, filter air pump ect

From what you are describing it sounds like the tears to his fins are fairly bad. I would quarantine and do 100% daily water changes along with aquarium salt (1 teaspoon/gallon) for 10 days. If the quarantine tank is smaller then a gallon you can use a gallon jug and add the aquarium salt to that to get the proper dosage. You can keep the quarantine tank warm by floating it in his original tank. Are you able to post a picture? Someone else may have some better advice but if you keep his water clean and warm he should hopefully start to heal.

Yea I would add that with the water changes, just make sure you dont add too much.

wow that sounds horrible horrible horrible. Man I am sorry to hear and hope he heals soon. and I thought I was having problems when I just found a hole in my bettas tail....it is nothing compared to your situation :(
