Lol thanks that makes me feel heaps better.
Im freaking out, cause i know they grow them back but like im told it wont look the same ect, so a bit crushed about that aswell, and just thinking that it probley is causing im some kind of pain makes me even more upset :(
I have taken a 2L soda bottle, cut off the top and cleaned it with boiling hot water, added a lil pinch of aquarium salt, and a bit of stress coat and put the bottle back in his side of the tank , and is now floating there.
I plan on doing 25% water changes each day for at least 2 weeks, then ill put him back in the actual tank ect. The fin has since come completly off and is now a nub, but he seems to be just fine so im happy for that. Let me know if yall think this plan is good or not? I dont have any other tanks just this one and an acrylic one that doesnt hold heat lol.
As far as my experience goes he should start to grow his tail back soon =) Just keep up those water changes. I had a betta jump a divider and one of them got his tail pretty shredded. His tail grew almost completely back, the only part that didnt grow back was the rays on his tail (hes a crowntail).
Yea he is starting to grow his fin back already ^.^ looks like he has a grey mohawk atm ^.^ i felt to bad having him in the bottle, so i did a complete tank clean today, ( too over an hour but worth it) put in a leafy silk plant, so he has places to hide ect and put him and angel back in , and im just gonna do 25% water changes each day on the whole tank, will be alot less stressful for him.
