Exclamation My Half moon has fin rot but its not healing can anyone help?

The tail has been rotting but its stopped and he's been like this for a couple of months cause it wouldn't heal even with fin rot medication

This is what his tail used to look like:

Sorry you are having problems...I couldn't get the full pic for some reason...but it may be my computer to see if he was tail biting or if it is rot...anyway.....a few questions

How big is the tank, how much and how often are the water changes, water temp, filtration, live plants, additives used, type of food...

i tried leaving him in a small plastic container to quarantine him and to help me do the medications

and i changed the water every 2-4 weeks since it doesn't get too dirty.

ive moved him into a new 25 Litre tank with nothing but fine sand 50 watt heater and a sponge filter.

i'll upload photos of the tank asap.

A 6.6gal tank at 82F...correct?

What about filter?

For starters-you need to increase the water changes on a regular basis-its what you can't see that is harmful to the Betta...

If the 6.6g with a filter-50% weekly with vacuuming should maintain water quality

Right now-I would QT and float the small QT in the heated 6.6g tank (attached so it doesn't sink) and start making 100% daily water changes with aquarium salt 1tsp/gal for the next 10 days

Pre-mix your treatment water in a clean 1gal jug with dechlorinated water, aquariums salt 1tsp/gal and the Indian almond leaf-use this water for the daily water changes to help make correct dosage and water changes easier.
