thanks soccerdog, like i said im just figuring out if i want to breed or not right now. i think it will be an amazing learning experience is why i want do it. i dont care if people take the fry once they are ready. ill put them free on craigslist and im sure someone would take some of them. but yes i know im working on getting a good life for this one. he is already so much more happier than that .5g tank i first had him in. i had no idea he needed a bigger tank and he seems alive now. good thing i found this forum before he died from being in that little cold tank. but yeah i dont care about the money at all. i just want to do more with this hobby besides just looking at my beautiful fish.

Ok. =) Also, you can buy light strips to put on top of them. They have them on that site, too.

well that one just uses regular light bulbs. ill put some sort of cover over the bulb so it doesnt short out.

how much are the full 10g kits at walmart or petco? are they still 55 dollars? i just found a tank on craigslist for 3 dollars, so if i get a filter/lid/heater it will cost me a bit less i guess, but i know what im getting so thats nice.

and not really because the way with gas prices are right now and the distance and hassle at walmart, much easier to just buy it online. but the one on amazon.com is 26 total so thats about the same.
