Not very graceful!

Ok so I just got my first betta about 2 weeks ago. She is living with an apple snail. I do 100% water changes every 2 days because the snail is quite messy. I feed her 2 times a day and only as much as she can comsume in 1 minute. Well she seems to have a large belly and swims in fast circles around the tank (circular tank). She is anything but graceful like bettas are supposed to be. I don't know what I am doing wrong! Anybody know what to do?

You're overfeeding her. Is it flakes you're feeding or pellets? If it's flakes, switch to floating pellets and then only feed her 4 a day. 2 in the morning and 2 at night. But fast her first, for a couple days, to help with bloating. A betta's stomach is only as big as one of it's eyeballs.

Oh ok thanks! I was over feeding her way too much! And it is already floating pellets that I am using.

Oh, well that makes it pretty easy then. They can go a while without food so just hold off until her bloat goes down. And you're welcome. :)
